Getting Here

We can’t wait to welcome you to the Big Church Festival!

Here’s everything you need to know to make your journey smooth and enjoyable while keeping traffic to a minimum.

QUICK TRAVEL TIPS

  • Have your e-ticket ready before reaching the gate, either printed, saved to your phone or as a screenshot.
  • Share a lift if you can, it’s cheaper, more fun and better for the planet.
  • Stay on-site at the Big Church Campsite or Glamping Village to enjoy the full experience.
  • Leaving the site? Allow at least 30 minutes to exit after the event (though it may take longer).

BY CAR

  • Important: Pre-book parking (£15 per car) via our website. Caravan pitches include parking.
  • Please follow road signs (not Sat Nav) as you approach Wiston Estate. 
  • Please note: There is no entry via Mouse Lane in Steyning village.
  • Due to our rural location, queues are likely. Our Traffic Management team will be working hard to keep everything moving smoothly.

To help you arrive at the right place, we’ve set up different gates depending on your journey and ticket type.

Here’s how to find yours using the What3Words app:

Day Visitors from the East (past Steyning) and Accessible Day Visitors (from East and West)

Head to: RED GATE via A283.

  • Download the What 3 Words App.
  • Type the What 3 Words for RED GATE into the search bar:  ///geek.showed.writings
  • Click on navigate from the menu at the bottom.
  • Select Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze to provide you with the Sat Nav route.
  • If you have access needs please park in the Day Visitor Accessible Car Park. 
  • Once you are parked, identify the location of your car using What 3 Words so you can find it easily when you are going home.

DAY VISITORS ARRIVING FROM THE WEST (A24) EXCLUDING ACCESSIBLE DAY VISITORS

Head to: GREEN GATE via A24

  • Download the What 3 Words App.
  • Type the What 3 Words for GREEN GATE into the search bar:  ///tolerates.dreams.salary
  • Click on navigate from the menu at the bottom.
  • Select Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze to provide you with the Sat Nav route.
  • If you have access needs please park in the Day Visitor Accessible Car Park. 
  • Once you are parked, identify the location of your car using What 3 Words so you can find it easily when you are going home.

CAMPING + RENT-A-TENT

For camping or Rent-A-Tent, head for the GREEN GATE via A24

  • Download the What 3 Words App.

ACCESSIBLE CAMPSITE

For the Accessible Campsite, head to the GREEN GATE via A24

  • Click on navigate from the menu at the bottom.
  • Select Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze to provide you with the Sat Nav route.

On-Site Support

  • Our parking team will guide you to the Accessible car park, where the dedicated Accessible ticket gate is located.
  • The Access Team will then explain where your pitch is located as well as supporting you with getting your camping kit moved.
  • Everyone who is booked into the Accessible Campsite will be sent an email in advance with more details with helpful tips and information.

CARAVANS & CAMPERVANS

For Caravans and Campervans, head for the ORANGE GATE.

  • Download the What 3 Words App.
  • Type the What 3 Words location for ORANGE GATE into the search bar: ///remainder.pool.magic
  • Click on navigate from the menu at the bottom.
  • Select Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze to provide you with the Sat Nav route.
  • Once you have arrived you will be instructed to drive into the Caravan field and you will be parked up by one of the camping team.
  • Please make sure your car and caravan/campervan fit within your space booked.
  • Once parked, identify the location of your vehicle using What 3 Words so you can find it easily at night or if you need assistance from our medical or safety team.

GLAMPING

For all Glampers, head to the ORANGE GATE.

  • Download the What 3 Words App
  • Type the What 3 Words location below for ORANGE GATE into the search bar: ///remainder.pool.magic
  • Click on navigate from the menu at the bottom
  • Select Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze to provide you with the Sat Nav route.
  • Once you have parked up, identify the location of your vehicle using What 3 Words so you can find it easily at night or if you need assistance from our medical or safety team.

Public Transport

By Train

Shoreham-by-Sea is the nearest station, with direct connections from London and Gatwick. Our shuttle bus will take you straight to the festival.

By Bus

The nearest bus stop is in Steyning Village.

Shuttle Bus

We run a shuttle service from Shoreham-by-Sea station throughout the weekend, stopping at the main arena by the Day Ticket Gate. More details will be available closer to the event.

By Plane

Gatwick Airport is around 45 minutes away by car. From there, take a train to Shoreham-by-Sea, then hop on the shuttle bus to the site.

Drop-Off Zone

Please follow the directions on the road signs to access our Drop-Off Zones.

Walking from Steyning Village

Yes - we will have a specific drop-off point in the car park. The drop-off point will be clearly signposted when you arrive.

To make things as easy as possible for both Big Church campers and day visitors, we have two locations for Accessible Parking. If you are camping, Accessible Parking is next to the Accessible Campsite and you will be sent all the details with your arrival information. If you are just visiting for the day, or are staying offsite, Accessible Parking is located by the Ticket Gate. If you need to park in this area please contact access@bigchurchfestival.com.

You will need to purchase a car parking pass for any minibusses. Coaches do not need to purchase a car parking pass.

Yes you are welcome to walk to Big Church Festival if you are staying close by. We will update our website with more details regarding the safest way to walk in soon!
